From the driver's workplace to a living space for all occupants

More than 80% of the value added in the vehicle interior product sector is attributable to the supplier industry. With all the necessary expertise for designing the vehicle interior of the future being available in and around Thuringia, interiors are a key area of innovation for automotive thüringen.

Vehicle interiors are gaining significantly in importance

Mega trends such as the increasing tendency in favor of electric mobility, the advancing development towards connected and (partially) automated vehicles, and the demand for “shared mobility” will massively change the interior of new and future vehicle generations. Even in the current generation of electric vehicles, the increased packaging freedom and enhanced vibration characteristics already make for a higher degree of comfort. With (partially) automated vehicles taking care of the driving to an ever greater extent, expectations in terms of how the vehicle can be used during the journey are increasing. New materials and functional surfaces create a feel-good space offering customized potential uses.
The interior as a driver-centered passenger compartment is a thing of the past. Customer-oriented interiors designed with the passenger in mind are at the core of new vehicle generations, and hence are more important than ever.
The interior of the future is no distant vision - this future has already begun.
